Ally's Science Project

This year Ally was required to participate in the school science fair. It was a learning process for all of us, because as many of you know, when the child has a project to do, it means mom has a project to do (well, over see and coach and help organize...all those wonderful things). Her teacher approached it very intelligently, however. She wanted the projects to be "kid work" and so most of the actual work was done at school. Ally had to do the actual testing at home, but everything else was done at school. Ally's science "question" was "Does my dog prefer a specific color of dish?" Well....the outcome....RED! Luke prefers red! Which did not support her hypothesis. She thought that he would prefer blue. But, science is not always right....it is the process of getting there that matters. Here are a few pictures from the process!

Luke picking the treat off the red plate...he loved this experiment!

Ally and her science board. She worked very hard on it. It was a great experience for her to go through this process. She did not get picked to go to the district level, but enjoyed doing the project and working with her dog. We are proud of her efforts!!
